Cultural Publicity Workshop for

Poets of Color

This workshop will teach the expectant author how to set realistic goals while making room for your biggest dreams, define your book's audience, pitch yourself to media and create relationships with booksellers. We'll end the workshop by brainstorming publicity ideas. This workshop is best suited for authors who have forthcoming book projects.

Kima Jones, founder of Jack Jones Literary Arts, will demystify book publicity for poets, help expectant authors set realistic pre-publication goals, and define and discuss cultural publicity as the most valuable tool in book promotion. This workshop is limited to black poets, poets of color and their publishers.
