Fun, bright, and playful, Power Pop is a sometimes adored, sometimes maligned, often misunderstood genre of music. From its heyday in the 70s and 80s to its resurgence in the 90s and 00s, Power Pop has meant many things to many people. Rex Weiner is an editor, author, screenwriter, and journalist. A founding editor of High Times Magazine, Rex is co-author of The Woodstock Census (Viking), analyzing the impact of the Sixties Generation on American society. His feature articles have been published in Vanity Fair, the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Review of Books, The New Yorker, The Paris Review, and he currently contributes investigative reporting to
Heather Havrilesky is an American author, essayist, and humorist. She writes the advice column "Ask Polly" for New York magazine. She is the author of Disaster Preparedness: A Memoir, the advice book How to Be a Person in the World and the essay collection What If This Were Enough?

David Bash is the Founder/CEO of the International Pop Overthrow Music Festival , which is held annually in various cities throughout the US and Canada, as well as in Liverpool (at The World Famous Cavern Club!) and Stockholm. He is also a pop music journalist who writes for Shindig! and Ugly Things magazines, and rockandrollglobe.com, and is one of the Executive Producers of The Power Pop Movie, slated for release in 2020.
Daniel Brummel, M.M. is perhaps best known as the leader of the power pop-influenced groups Ozma and Sanglorians, and has also performed in Weezer, Nada Surf, Spain, and the Elected. He is a veteran music educator who has composed the music for Jenji Kohan’s new Renaissance Faire dramedy, American Princess. Formerly the dean at the California College of Music, Daniel now serves as the Chief Academic Officer of Point Blank Music School in Silver Lake, California.
S. W. Lauden is the author of the Greg Salem punk rock PI series including Bad Citizen Corporation, Grizzly Season and Hang Time. His Tommy & Shayna novellas include Crosswise and Crossed Bones. A new novelette, That’ll Be The Day: A Power Pop Heist, was released in June 2019. S. W. Lauden is the pen name of Steve Coulter, drummer for Tsar and The Brothers Steve.
