Danzy Senna, author of the bestselling Caucasia and a Whiting Award-winner, will be coming to Chevalier's to read from her recently released New People. Rachel Kushner says New People, "will seduce you into reading it all in one sitting," and, "haunt you long afterward," while Maggie Nelson calls it, "a dystopic dream of a novel." Danzy discusses her love of troublesome characters and precarious positions in an interview with Scott Simon of All Things Considered.

Sarah Shun-lien Bynum, another Whiting Award-winner, and author of Madeleine is Sleeping and Ms. Hempel Chronicles, will be sitting down with Ms. Senna in-discussion. She recently published a short story in The New Yorker titled, "Burglar". You'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't read it this instant. After you've finished, go ahead and imagine missing this event. Impossible, right? Be there.
